Royal Holloway University of London

I taught at Royal Holloway University of London from 1996-2019, first in the Drama Department and then in the English Department. While there I helped to develop the curriculum at both the undergraduate and the post graduate level, creating a Shakespeare in performance pathway from first year through to PhD. 

Working with the English Subject Centre strengthened my interest in and knowledge of pedagogic practices nationally, through the organisation of two national events on Teaching Shakespeare. I was involved in the development of the curriculum for both the English and Drama and English and Film programmes, which I directed from 2015-19. In 2018 I  was named a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy for my work in bringing these two disciplines closer together.
